EMBEDDED DEVELOPER POSITION

We are recruiting for an embedded developer to join our technical team in our highly innovative and expanding company, specialising in media delivery systems for the retail, corporate, education and hospitality sectors.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate capability in the following areas:

• Development of OS stack in Linux from the ground up for ARM and Intel devices;

• Development / compilation of drivers for various peripherals;

• Production of user-space frameworks for application development by GUI team;

• Porting / cross-compilation of codebase.

Essential Skills:

• Linux;

• Strong C/C++;

• Kernel and Userspace experience;

• Cross compilation environments;

• Understanding of high level hardware concepts.

Beneficial:

• DirectFB / OpenGL (ES) experience

• GUI development

• OSX / iPhone development

• XML / XSL

The role is a full time permanent position based in the attractive spa town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Some foreign travel may be involved so the right candidate must be able to meet international visa requirements.
